Spring Has Sprung!

As spring dawns, there are many changes afoot. My "day job" running community art workshops is coming to an end as the community interest company I work for will be pulling out of the market. I'm opting to draw some pension and use the time to grow my little art business. As a result, I will have more time for art and makers markets and exhibitions, as well as offering commissions. More on all that below.
My lovely subscribers continue to be eligible for a 15% discount in my Folksy online shop, using code Art2026. Visit my shop here

Drawn to the Valley Spring Exhibition Plymouth

I'm thrilled to be taking part in this year's Drawn to the Valley Spring Exhibition at the Hyde Park Club, Peverell, Plymouth over the early May bank holiday weekend. Drawn to the Valley is a collective of artists residing along the Tamar Valley in west Devon and east Cornwall. It's free entry, so if you are in the area, do take a look.

Artisan and Makers Markets

I am looking to expand into more local markets in 2026. As well as the next Almanac Cafe Makers Market, Batter Street, Plymouth on Saturday 4th April. 10 am - 4pm, I will be at the Totnes Artisan Market, Totnes Civic Hall, Tuesday 14th April 9.30 am - 3.30 pm. Hope to see you

Commissions

I'm also very pleased to report that I will shortly be taking on more commissioned work. Time constraints have meant I haven't done of many lately. I will be adding a commission section to my website over the next few weeks, but in the mean time, do drop me an enquiry if you have a special place you would like captured in your own painting, I'm planning to offer small postcard sized works at an affordable price, up to A5, A4 and A3.

Chris Stone Artist

I am a Plymouth based artist. I love to create original paintings of the places and landscapes i love, mostly in Devon and Cornwall, but also beyond. I'm particularly interested in the faded beauty of everyday things that surround us and that many of us take for granted.
