Birthdays with a zero in the number...

I'm approaching May 2025 with a little trepidation. It's the month in which I reach one of those birthdays with a zero on the end. Another decade has disappeared into my rear view mirror. Where does the time go?
I was similarly unsettled ten years ago as I hit 50. But the last ten years have been among the best. I went to University (for the first time and still the first in my family to go!) and got myself a first class BA (Hons) degree. I also married Andy, my super partner of many years.
Hopefully the next ten years will be just as good. I'll let you know as we go,

Website

I am continuing to develop my new website. I'm not a website developer or techno geek of any description. I'm hoping to build a more streamlined experience between my website and my online shop with British Craft House.
I have now linked product categories in the shop now part of the website to the corresponding categories in my online shop to make navigation a little easier.
The website can be viewed here

New Art

My latest original paintings:

A small study of Plymouth Hoe and Smeaton's Tower lighthouse, in acrylic and watercolour on Yupo paper, a synthetic paper with an interesting sheen which enhances the vibrancy of the paint.

Another Yupo painting, this time a postcard sized view of Kingsand on Cornwall's beautiful Rame Peninsula, in acrylic and watercolour.

Taken from the same vantage point at The Cleave in Kingsand, but looking in the opposite direction towards Cawsand, the last new addition is a watercolour on paper painting,

All current work for sale can be seen in my British Craft House online shop

Folksy Shop

In an attempt to expand my online presence, I am in the process of restocking my Folksy shop. Managing multiple online market places can be a bit time consuming but when I'm able to do it, I see the benefits in more sales. The most comprehensive selection of work is in my British Craft House store, but feel free to check out Folksy here

That's all for this month.
I'll be back in June/ July. I'm getting out and about around Devon and Cornwall with my sketchbook and camera, seeking out new things to paint. I'm always open to ideas on subject matter.
Drop me a line with any suggestions here
Kind regards
Chris

Chris Stone Artist

I am a Plymouth based artist. I love to create original paintings of the places and landscapes i love, mostly in Devon and Cornwall, but also beyond. I'm particularly interested in the faded beauty of everyday things that surround us and that many of us take for granted.
